• Review original concept plans provided by planning consultant
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets
• Preliminary and Final detailed engineering design
• Secure all approvals from Town of Cochrane and Alberta Environment
• Prepare and issue tender calls for earthworks, surface and underground construction
• Coordinate shallow utility construction
• Contract administration and close out
• Liaise with Town of Cochrane

Morrison Hershfield was able to expedite the approvals from the Town of Cochrane allowing this project to proceed.

This project required intensive involvement from Alberta Environment as the storm sewer discharged directly into the Bow River.  Disruption of a major watercourse such as the Bow River typically results in a lengthy approval process.  Morrison Hershfield ensured that the stormwater approval process was conducted to the satisfaction of Alberta Environment as well as several federal approving agencies, within a timeline that allowed for construction of the outfall within one construction season.
