This project for the Municipal District of Rocky View No. 44 in Alberta consists of a major intake and pump house on the Bow River, 28 km of twin 600 mm diameter raw water forcemain, a 2 km2 raw water reservoir; 54 km of 600 mm and 900 mm diameter water transmission main; two 3,700,000 L storage reservoirs and pumping stations. Morrison Hershfield was also retained to provide the preliminary design of a new $15M water treatment plant in Langdon in addition to the water transmission main project.
