As overall project coordinator, Morrison Hershfield provided project management and control for the West Fraser Mills Limited site improvements at the Alberta Plywood Slave Lake veneer plant.
A truck access road was developed into the log yard from the adjacent municipal road. This involved scale relocation, a new scale control building, yard office, trailer hoist, tarping and wrapping stations, and the forestry equipment yard and warehouse. The assignment also included area lighting and log storage decks for approximately 50,000 cubic meters of logs.
