Content Menu The historic Caledon Town Hall building had to be relocated to allow for the widening of Highway 10 in the Town of Caledon, ON. Unique challenges arose during construction that required creative solutions and close coordination with the contractor in order to allow the work to proceed without delays. Morrison Hershfield was able to successfully balance the requirements of the Ministry of Transportation, the Town of Caledon (building owner), and the Caledon Townhall Players (tenant).

Designed preliminary studies and creation of pre-design report Produced detailed construction drawings and specifications Developed site and storm water management plan Stabilized historic load-bearing masonry, designed new foundations and created a new basement where none previously existed Completed structural repair and reinforcement, and significant HVAC and electrical upgrades Provided contract administration services including field review and dispute resolution
