The Juniper Roof Replacement
The Juniper Roof Replacement, Morrison Hershfield

The Juniper, formerly known as the Timberline Inn, is a completely renovated hotel located in Banff National Park.  The roofs on the buildings were experiencing widespread problems, including drainage problems and had exceeded their intended service life. Decore Hotels wished to undertake a roof replacement to ensure the performance of the roofing system over the long term.

Critical objectives of The Juniper roof replacement were the functionality of the roof systems, ensuring proper roof slope for positive drainage, considerations for future installation of a vegetated roof, and that there be little or no impact on the other construction trades performing work during the renovations.  The project was challenging due to time constraints, as it had to be completed expeditiously to meet the Motel’s scheduled opening date.  Morrison Hershfield provided critical detail changes during various aesthetic design modifications to meet the needs of the client, and completed this project both on time and within budget.
