Morrison Hershfield developed a protocol for on-site entombment of the high mercury based soils that was acceptable to Alberta Environment and the City of Calgary.  The considerable cost savings of this entombment method allowed Calgary Parks and Recreation to enter a more comprehensive renovation program.

The on-site disposal work was undertaken during the third phase of the multi-million dollar renovation program.
