Public Utility Building Facilities
Over a ten year period Morrison Hershfield provided AltaGas Utilities Inc. with a variety of engineering services for the design and construction of several new and renovated facilities.  The services provided encompassed structural, mechanical and electrical engineering. The scope included conceptual design, detailed design, tendering, and project management during construction.

These projects include:

  • A new 180 m2 warehouse/shop for St. Paul.  This project included demolition and removal of the existing office building, redevelopment of the site and the addition of new parking facilities
  • Addition of a new second floor for the Barrhead office building, including renovations to the main floor office area
  • Installation of a new sloped roof for the Barrhead office/shop complex
  • A new office/shop facility for Pincher Creek, including site development
  • Two office/warehouse buildings on the property adjacent to the AltaGas Regional Office Building at Leduc
  • Installation of a new standing seam metal roof for the warehouse building in Leduc
  • Replacement of the mechanical equipment area roofing membrane in the Leduc facility

Morrison Hershfield worked closely with AltaGas in providing effective and cost-efficient design and field (technical) construction services for numerous facilities in the province.  Our relationship with the client involved understanding and trust that Morrison Hershfield will deliver in the demanding operational environment AltaGas must meet without disruption.
