New Parking Garage and Bookstore Complex
New Parking Garage and Bookstore Complex, Ryerson University, Morrison Hershfield

The Ryerson University Campus, in downtown Toronto, needed additional staff and student parking and a new bookstore.  The site available for development was an existing surface parking lot, which was underlaid by debris from demolished buildings and was bounded by streets on three sides and an alley on the fourth.

The Ryerson Parking Garage and Bookstore Complex consists of a 124,000 sq ft, three storey aboveground parking structure, with 372 parking spaces and a 12,000 sq ft bookstore.  Morrison Hershfield was retained as Prime Consultant to plan and design the complex, which had a construction value of $4.8 million.
