Content Menu The BFI MSW Class II Landfill is located just south of the Calgary AB city limits. The existing facility manages non-volatile municipal waste from the Calgary area. The design of the landfill included stormwater ditches, culverts and sediment ponds, together with erosion control measures to extend the existing stormwater drainage system.

Page Content Our experts applied significant stormwater design and management experience together with their construction management experience, resulting in efficient and effective earthworks construction. Suitable clay coverage was provided to the cells minimizing the detrimental effects of surface water run off and soil erosion. The following services were undertaken: Gathering topographical survey information Revising storm water ditching, piping and sedimentation ponds Providing environmental planning to meet Federal, Alberta Environment and City of Calgary regulations Production of bid documents Awarding of contracts Construction management and site inspections
