Morrison Hershfield Jefferson Salamander Breeding Habitat Assessment
In response to a concern from Credit Valley Conservation that a highway interchange project may impact potential Jefferson Salamander (Ambystoma jeffersonianum) habitat in Meadowvale Station Woods, and also in response to Ministry of Transportation Ontario’s imposed condition of Environmental Assessment approval, we designed and implemented a study to address concerns and conditions.
The Ministry of the Environment imposed a condition of environmental assessment approval that two years of biological monitoring in the southern portion of Meadowvale Station Woods be conducted to determine the potential impacts.
