This project required us to obtain a number of approvals.  The approvals were under the Fisheries Act for the harmful alteration, destruction and disruption to fish habitat; from Transport Canada under the Navigable Waters Protection Act for the construction of a new bridge; from the Ministry of Natural Resources Ontario under the Endangered Species Act for the destruction of protected mussel habitat; and from the Department of Fisheries under the Species At Risk Act for the relocation of protected fresh water mussels.
