In Phase 1, we prepared the Strategic Plan and Framework for conducting Building Condition Assessments (BCAs) and Asset Valuations on all Town-owned buildings. In Phase 2, we conducted BCAs and Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) Asset Valuations at ten Town of Oakville buildings.
In working with key Town stakeholders, our team developed reports so that data collected could be easily understood and uploaded into the Town's asset management tracking system. The end result of these two related projects (Phase 1 and 2) enabled Morrison Hershfield to assist the Town in establishing a clear asset management approach and data collection methodology.
The Town will continue to utilize this initial framework to conduct BCAs at all remaining Town-owned facilities over the next few years.
