Morrison Hershfield was retained by the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board to prepare detailed design and tender documents for boiler room retrofits at five elementary schools and complete lighting retrofits at ten elementary schools (two schools had combined projects).
Morrison Hershfield administered the tender process and performed project and construction management of the energy retrofits over a 6-month period. Sequential tendering and construction periods were necessary to accommodate the number of schools and overall geographic area for these projects. Morrison Hershfield was also able to apply for and obtain incentive funding from the local natural gas utilities for the boiler retrofit projects.
