A major component of the new development is stormwater management as the development is located atop the Bow River escarpment.  Ponds and water features will been incorporated and used as stormwater retention areas treating stormwater up to and including the one in 100 year storm event.

Morrison Hershfield is the prime engineering consultant firm responsible for the design of all infrastructure including the design of the road network, stormwater outfall and sanitary lift station. The work includes design and supervision of earth moving, road construction, production of required storm drainage passages, design and installation of water, sanitary and shallow utility services and final inspections.

These activities include:

• Site grading plan sensitive to sight-lines, erosion, sound attenuation and ultimate desirability of lots
• Preliminary design and layout of underground utilities
• Detailed design of all underground infrastructure
• Consultation with local water service provider to produce an equitable design and servicing provision
• Production of tender, tender evaluation, construction inspection and resident engineering
• Cost and quality control
• Sustainable development
