We were retained to conduct air leakage testing on Building 12000 at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. The air barrier testing involves quantitative measurement of air leakage (blower door testing) along with the infrared thermography for air leakage site detection. The test methods measure the volume of air required to maintain building pressurization/de-pressurization and provide quantified measure of air leakage across the building envelope. We will set up the equipment to pressurize the building measuring the air flow. This task includes preparatory work in terms of masking off or otherwise sealing intentional penetrations such as ventilation intakes and exhausts, combustion exhausts, plumbing vents, etc. Due to the configuration of the air barrier with this building it may be necessary to test the building in segments.
