Content Menu As a sub consultant we provided civil and structural engineering services for the design and construction of two new 230 kV electrical substations near Castlegar, BC for West Kootenay Power and Comstock Canada. Our role included the preparation of preliminary and detailed design drawings and specifications, shop drawing review, site visits and final inspection. When this $30M project was complete, the new Warfield and Brilliant substations substantially increased the capacity of the electrical system in the area. An added benefit was the elimination of many of the unsightly power lines that ran throughout the valley, increasing the appeal of the area.
