During the conference, Judy Jeske, P.Eng., Director of Code and Life Safety for Morrison Hershfield presented a workshop on use of alternative solutions using the Ontario Building Code (OBC).  The workshop introduced participants to the alternative solution process that is one of the two compliance options in the Code.  The workshop allowed participants to familiarize themselves with and use the new tools that are available with the 2006 OBC in order to facilitate the introduction of innovation in design.
