To allow today's buildings a role in tomorrow's communities, we need to build them to last and be adapted rather than demolished. Although durability is considered a backbone of sustainability, the durable building credit (MRc.8) is often dismissed as too complicated, costly or legally risky. Jamie McKay outlines, via examples, a sample Durability Plan and tables, and the logical steps to develop and confidently achieve this credit.
To further our commitment to the LEED community, all attendees will be provided an open source for Durability Plan and tables. The sample Building Durability Plan and a copy of this presentation are also available through our web site.
