The Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (ARHCC) is a state-of-the-art 60,000s.m. 300-bed health care facility providing specialized health services to more than 330,000 residents in the greater Abbotsford area and the Fraser Valley. With a unique perspective provided by the Design-Build team comprising the Project Architect/LEED AP and the builder’s mechanical and electrical coordinator, attendees will learn about designing and building Canada’s first LEED® Gold acute care hospital and cancer treatment centre under a fast-track Public-Private Partnership / design-build contract, including enhanced building envelope field reviews that established the framework for a durable building commissioning plan.
