As of August 15, 2011, Morrison Hershfield’s Vancouver office will be located in a new LEED®-CI registered tenant space, pursuing LEED Gold Certification. LEED-CI is the Canada Green Building Council green building rating system for commercial interiors. In North America, buildings use nearly one-third of our total energy, two-thirds of our electricity, one-eighth of our water and transform land that provides valuable ecological resources.
The Landlord has also registered the office building for LEED Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (or LEED-EB: O&M) with some of our design strategies aiding in their goal for certification. This relocation to a LEED-CI registered office lessens our impact on the environment. This is a good fit with Morrison Hershfield’s Environmental and Sustainability Policy.
