In May 2007, Morrison Hershfield's Jeremy Carkner, P.Eng. became a Board member of the EIFS Council of Canada (ECC). He has been a general member of the ECC since 2004 and currently chairs the ECC's technical committee.

"EIFS" stands for Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems and is a type of cladding with which Morrison Hershfield has significant experience, for both new construction and restoration.

The EIFS Council of Canada was formed to help raise awareness and quality in the Canadian EIFS industry. The ECC provides standards in materials, systems and design and installation requirements for the EIFS industry in Canada.
