Jeremy Carkner Receives the Allen D. Williams Scholarship Award
November 02, 2011

Jeremy Carkner, P.Eng., LEED® AP BD+C, was honored by the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Canada (ACEC) last night with the 2012 Allen D. Williams Scholarship Award.  The award is presented to a young professional employee of an ACEC member firm who demonstrates involvement with, or contribution to, the priorities identified by an ACEC member organization or ACEC itself.  The award is presented annually to a single individual from across Canada.

Jeremy is a Principal and Department Manager at Morrison Hershfield and a proud member of the consulting engineering profession.  His leadership, professionalism and dedication make a lasting impression regardless if he is working on projects, managing a team or giving back to the community.  He is currently contributing to local and global compassion initiatives, including the Milton Food Bank and MCC Aids Care in Southern Africa.  He holds several leadership roles within his church community and has most recently extended his love for sports to include the coaching of his son’s soccer team.  Jeremy is also known for regularly giving a variety of seminars and industry presentations on topics related to sustainability.

Jeremy holds true to the principles of the engineering profession and is a consistent ambassador for the field at large.  As the award recipient he receives funding to attend the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Conference being held September 2012 in Seoul, South Korea.
