Catherine Karakatsanis, P.Eng., Morrison Hershfield’s Senior Vice President, Buildings and Facilities, is shining a light on the engineering profession. In her volunteer role as President of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), Catherine was recently part of a panel discussion on the TV show “The Agenda with Steve Paikin”. The panel discussed the suitability of engineers and other professions as politicians, and how that would change how we are governed.
PEO believes it is critically important to the future of the profession that engineers are more represented in the political arena. Political activism by engineers is being mobilized through the first annual “PEO/Engineers Canada Candidate College”. This is a special workshop about the why’s and how to’s of getting elected.
