With Morrison Hershfield’s Edmonton office approaching full capacity, we are taking the opportunity to move into a newly designed and built facility targeting LEED® Silver. A move to a sustainable building helps everyone. Approximately 40% of global energy use is attributable to buildings.
The new building will accommodate all of the Edmonton office staff and offer room to grow. The LEED certification provides third-party verification of the sustainable strategies employed during design and construction. The office will provide a healthy work environment with natural daylight and clean air, fewer toxins in interior materials and require less energy to operate. The certification speaks to the stewardship of resources and sensitivities to their impacts. This is a good fit with Morrison Hershfield’s Environmental and Sustainability Policy.
