The Canadian Council of Professional Engineers Gold Medal awarded to Arthur B. Johns, 2004

Morrison Hershfield celebrates the success of our chair, Art Johns, P.Eng., on receiving the highest accolade that Canada's engineering profession can bestow on one of its members, the Gold Medal. The Canadian Council of Professional Engineers award was presented on May 15, 2004, in Charlottetown, PEI.

This award is presented annually to just one of the more than 160,000 professional engineers in the country. It recognizes Art's exceptional individual achievements and contributions to the engineering profession, as well as his overall commitment to his community and society as a whole. His services to the engineering profession and community are numerous and heartfelt.

The award also recognizes Art's innovative management practices. Art recently celebrated forty-two years of service with Morrison Hershfield. Under his leadership the company has grown from a small Canadian firm to a North American entity. His focus on the importance of core values and principles, client service and a corporate code of conduct has been a dynamic catalyst to Morrison Hershfield's ongoing success.

Each of us at Morrison Hershfield is honoured to be associated with and to have learned from Mr. Art Johns.
