On September 29, 2011, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver recognized the new Capilano CLIFFWALK with a 2011 Commercial Building Award of Excellence. The awards celebrate the very best in commercial building and recognize the innovation, talent and spirit of collaboration found within the building community.
The CLIFFWALK is the newest attraction at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in North Vancouver. It is a first-of-its-kind, thrilling cliffside walkway that takes visitors through a west coast rainforest on a series of narrow cantilevered bridges and stairs protruding from the granite cliff some 90 meters (300 ft) above the Capilano River.
Morrison Hershfield was the Engineer of Record / Lead Design Engineer in partnership with Wyllie & Norrish Rock Engineers and McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. More details about the project can be found on this web page.
