The CSA A440 reference standard for windows and doors in Canada changed substantially in 2005 as part of a North American harmonization of window and door standards. The new AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-05 Standard/Specification for windows, doors, and unit skylights presents a new format and approach to identification and specification of windows and doors. David will present on how to work with the new standard for choosing the appropriate performance characteristics for windows on a new project, and how to specify the chosen requirements using the new Primary Designator coding system. The intent will be to explore the new system and familiarize the audience with what will become the new standard.
